Field Curriculum
The advanced training environment has been designed to improve a players decision making under pressure while adding to and enhancing their technical tool box. Our curriculum has been specifically designed allowing the game to be the teacher and the coach the guide, our themed games create clear pictures for the players to understand and improve in all aspects of the game. Soccercize (Ball Mastery), Dribbling/Feinting, 1v1 (offense and defense) moments, Technical Training, going to goal, rondos, transition games, counter attack, small sided matches and footvolley all combine to create a truly special week of soccer for the player who is striving to get to the next level.
SOCCERCIZE
- Develops a player’s coordination and body mechanics with a ball
- Ball mastery and dribbling combinations
- Juggling, technique, freestyle (lifts, tricks and freezes) and skills challenges
POSSESSION AND TRANSITION
- Pressure, teammates and opponents
- Effective decision making in a competitive environment
- Transition D>A and A>D
- Tactical and positional awareness
GOING 2 GOAL
- Technical components of goal scoring
- Tactical concepts of creating and scoring goals
- Playing off the shoulder, dummy collects, facing and back to goal and off crosses
SMALL SIDED GAMES
- Opportunity for the player to compete and express themselves in a competitive game
- Encourage players to be competitive and passionate without fear of making mistakes
YOGA (RESIDENTIAL ONLY)
- Professional trained yoga instructors
- Recovery, flexibility and mobility
- Cross training and longevity
- Increases overall athletic performance
TECHNIQUE
- Breaking down the mechanics of striking, volleying, driving and receiving the ball
- Emphasis on instep (laces), inside and outside of the foot, thigh, chest and the head (U12yrs and older)
- Supports in identifying the importance of movement, body and foot positioning, along with timing required to succeed in each skill
DRIBBLING
- Develops a creative, imaginative and confident player on the ball
- Change of Direction, escaping and attacking dribbles (combinations)
- Individuality and upper body deception
FOOTVOLLEY
- Partner volleyball game without your hands in a fun and competitive environment
- Emphasis on 1st touch, technique, volleys, overhead kicks and attacking headers (U12yrs and older)
